MeetingPal began with a practical problem. As an owner, trustee and chairperson of a self-managed complex, Poena le Roux knew how much work sits behind a community meeting.
He first designed MeetingPal in 2017, with the needs of sectional title schemes in mind — including votes counted in both number and value.
When remote meetings became a necessity in 2020, Poena revisited the app to help his own body corporate meet and make decisions while its members were apart.
Today, MeetingPal brings that understanding to bodies corporate, associations, professional bodies and trusts. The aim is still simple: make participation easier, and meeting administration lighter.

Founder & ownerAn IT professional with more than three decades of experience, Poena brings software expertise and practical experience as a trustee and chairperson. He holds a BCom from the University of Pretoria and an MBA from Bond University.
